Eligibility
To apply for a Stronger Together 2010 grant, organizations must be:

A Canadian registered charity

All applicants must have registered charitable status with Canada Revenue Agency and possess a valid charitable registration number.  Smaller organizations without charitable status that conduct their work under the umbrella of a parent registered charity are not eligible to apply.

Christian

In Canada, a good deal of private, corporate and public funding is directed to exclusively secular organizations.  In contrast, Stronger Together 2010 focuses on community-minded charities that operate from core values rooted in religious convictions.   Our collaboration attempts to balance the availability of resources to recognize the altruistic work that is emerging from people of Christian faith.

The successful applicant organization must be explicit in its Christian orientation, and exist to serve the broader community beyond its own membership.  Such an orientation is typically and most easily understood when it is expressed within the charity’s mission statement or board-approved statement of faith.

Not local churches, denominations, or private schools

Stronger Together 2010 seeks to support charitable organizations which exist to serve the broader community outside their own memberships.  While churches, denominations, and private schools play an essential role, they generally exist to support and serve their own members in faith development.  We regret that Stronger Together 2010 is not in a position to support churches, denominations, or private schools.

Of a minimum size

To be eligible to apply, a charity must have recorded a minimum of $150,000 in total revenue in their most recently completed fiscal year.  This also applies for joint applications, where each partner charity must have reached a minimum of $150,000 in total revenue in the prior year.
